It Begins with You by David Amakiri

Enjoy this motivational article from our very own Gold David Amakiri. From an insightful angle, the author shows us how you can make a difference by beginning with yourself. Keep the comments coming!
it begins with you

One day I picked up my glasses, put it
on and was looking desperately at my
phone. I was surprised because I was
wondering why it wasnt so clear. Some
parts were quite blur and others were
so blur. So I started wiping out the surface of my phone. This I did but it
still remained blur. I did again and
again but it still remained blur.

So I
thought; I must be making some
blunder. I should have wiped my
glasses rather than my phone’s screen. So I got a hold of the wiper and wiped
the glass. I was amazed at what I saw! I
was stunned at the result! The vision
still remained blur! My goodness! What
do I do now? I asked myself.

So after a
long thought I said what a hoax I have been doing to myself! I finally discovered the
real problem. The problem was with
me. It was with my eyes. I had an
invisible blur shit over my eyes. All I
needed to do was just simply wipe
my eyes!
And when I did, the results were amazing! It was a ‘really?’ feeling!
Within a split second, the blur was

I learnt a lot from that episode. I realised
many of us are that way. We never
think the problems or challenges we are having around us are with ourselves.
We think it is with others. We think they
are the problem, the stumbling block!
But if we’d rather focus on adjusting
ourselves, there will be changes. If we
would only wipe our own eyes we would be amazed at the results. Jesus
said “remove the speck from your own
eyes first, before you try to remove the
log from another’s eye”. If I only had
wiped my eyes from the beginning,
imagine the progress I would have made and the time I would have saved
for something also profiting. But I was
just going in cycles, progressing

So it has been for
many. Life goes for them only in a cyclic
motion. Many times solving our own problems
first – our internal struggles, our bad
habits, position us to help others go
over their challenges. We could make
the difference by first being the
difference in ourselves.
By first changing ourselves!
This is a call to self-discovery and then
re-alignment for tomorrow’s greater
possibilities. Tomorrow will be greater if
we start by realigning today!

Great work from Gold Bob. But please do improve on your proof reading, expecially in the use of punctuation marks.
Thanks for sharing this wonderful article.
